Dialogue with Marshal Ralem Christof

You say,"Hail, Marshal Ralem Christof"

"Where is the fellowship?"

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "I don't know what fellowship you are asking about."

"Don't play games. I know what this place is. I have been keeping an eye on it since arriving in Maj'Dul."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Then you know where the fellowship is."

"I know there was one left after Hadal. Now where is he? Perhaps you know the answer. Perhaps you had something to do with his absence."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "I am no murderer. I don't kill innocent citizens of Maj'Dul!"

"Heh. The Fellowship of the Peacock is far from being an innocent organization. Every member has performed some sort of illicit activity in pursuit of lost gods and buried cities. Their evil deeds are as clandestine as their brotherhood."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "You shouldn't speak badly about the dead."

"So the last one is dead eh? Too bad. How did he sink?"

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "I tried to save him from a zombie and a witch named Hafsa."

"So you met the zombie lover. How did it go down?"

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "We fought. I won. They lost. What did you mean by 'zombie lover'?"

"I have been tracking down the 'zombie lover' Hafsa. It seems as though a wave of killings began to appear in Maj'Dul. They all led to Hafsa and eventually to the Peacock Club."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "What was going on?"

"It seems as though your friend Wad'dah and his fellowship may have done something far worse than death to a man called Fadid. Fadid happens to be Hafsa's husband."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Fadid! That is what she called the zombie that killed Wad'dah!"

"Fadid was a crypt raider. It seems he found an artifact of some value to the fellowship. It was so sacred to the fellowship they thought it wise to perform an ancient ceremony over the bound body of Fadid. Next thing Fadid knew he was covered in rotting flesh and had a hankering for flesh and brains."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Amazing! Why would they do this?"

"Fadid could not mention the artifact to anyone in his mindless undead state. The existence of the artifact would remain hidden to all but the fellowship. They would be free to delve into its secrets in privacy."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "But Hafsa learned of the fate of her husband."

"Correct. The fellowship let loose the zombie onto the streets of Maj'Dul. Many were slain as the creature hid in the darkness and came out at night. Hafsa finally tracked her zombie husband down and managed to capture him. He stayed chained up until she could plot her revenge."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "What did Kahil have to do with it?"

"Kahil Baldoras was an old lover of Hafsa's. They held a close bond. Apparently Kahil was a member of some secret assassin's guild here. Hafsa persuaded him to aid in her revenge. Together they managed to kidnap and murder all of the fellowship."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "What were they doing in the Tomb of Anu'ish?"

"From what I was able to gather, our zombie lover planned to employ an ancient ritual that would bring her decaying husband back to the world of the living. All she needed was a sacrifice, Wad'dah, and the appropriate defiled sacrificial location, the Tomb of Anu'ish. Unfortunately for them... you interrupted their little party."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Hey! What and where is the artifact that you mentioned."

"Now that's the platinum question isn't it? That artifact is what brought me to Maj'Dul. It's called the Ewer of Sul'Dae. It is a chalice to the gods they say. Those who drink from it are promised eternal youth... or die a horrible death trying to track it down."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Then let's track it down together. We'll both reap the rewards."

"Let's try this, I continue to track down the Ewer of Sul'Dae and you avoid looking for it. Trust me. Looking for this artifact will do nothing but lead you to death, or undeath."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Ok. I will go about my business."

"Good thinking. You make a much better person alive than undead. Trust me, I've seen my fair share of the undead. Now please leave... I almost forgot."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof,"Forgot what?"

"Leave the key to this place. I am doing a bit of renovations to it. When the time is right I'll see you get the key back. Till yonder."

You say to Marshal Ralem Christof, "Very well, keep the key. Till yonder, as you say."
